Creating Material Tracking Records
The Material Tracking form is used to create and maintain individual Material Tracking records. Use this form to view or update a material tracking record.
In the Material tracking form, you can:
- Add general material tracking information and view supply chain status for the material.
- Add detailed material tracking information for each custom attribute specified for the material type.
- Link material checklists to the material tracking record.
To create a material tracking record
- On the View menu, click Field Administration > Material Tracking > Materials, and then select a view.

The Material Tracking form appears.
- In the Creating dialog box, select a material type, and then click Create.
- Enter the following information:
- Material ID: The identifier for the Material Tracking record.
- Material Type: The selected material type. This field is read-only
- Description*: The description of the material tracking record.
- Material Status: The status of the material. The items listed on this drop-down list are managed from the Prolog Converge Lookup Groups Maintenance record.

- To save the changes and keep the form open, click
